Sabr For Soil, concrete foundations and material testing (SABR) is
specialized in performing geotechnical tests and analyzing the geological
information needed by civil engineers and architects who service in the
areas of infrastructure design for the construction industry. Field testing
methods are used for the determination of the engineering behavior of
soils and rocks to obtain good quality disturbed/undisturbed samples
for laboratory tests. There are various in situ tests which are used
frequently for the determination of the values of engineering design
parameters. The techniques used include penetration tests, shear
strength tests, loading tests, pressure meter tests and permeability
tests as well as geophysical methods. We provide independent and
comprehensive advice for various engineering projects and develop
innovative design of solutions with a focus on the specific requirements
of our customers.

Chemical Testing


The chemical laboratory is one of the most important laboratories of
Solutions and Mining. It is equipped with all the capabilities to prepare
the requited tests for geotechnical works and construction projects.
We analyze the physical and chemical properties of all construction
materials, including concrete, aggregates, asphalt, bitumen, building
stone, cement, cementitious material, concrete additives, masonry
blocks, paving blocks, rock, soil, water and many other materials.

Asphalt Testing

The primary use of asphalt is for road construction, where it is used
as the glue or binder mixed with aggregate particles to create asphalt
concrete. The largest use of asphalt Pavement wearing and base
curses, parking lots, airports runway and taxi ways as well as the core
of embankment dams.
Our laboratory tests cover a wide range of road pavement materials
testing. The laboratory also conducts extensive asphalt testing to
ensure the quality of the material used by taking samples from the site
to be tested in the laboratory.

Aggregates Testing


Aggregates are inert granular materials such as sand, gravel, or
crushed stone that, along with water and Portland cement are
essential ingredient of concrete. Aggregate meet our basic needs
for the construction of home and Commercial buildings, bridges, and
roads. SMl undertakes Mechanical, physical and chemical testing for a
variety of Clients on a wide range of natural and recycled aggregates
to ensure they are fit for purpose. We also offer a thorough on-site
material assessment and sampling service.

Concrete Testing

Our laboratory provides an extensive range of concrete and related
materials testing services which meet the appropriate international
standards. Typical testing includes compressive strength if concrete
cubes and cores, as well as bricks and blocks. Other testing includes
mortar mix proportions and other related chemical tests.
We provide an on-site service to facilitate the sampling and making
of concrete test cubes as well as a collection service. All cubes are
appropriately cured in readiness for testing at our laboratory. Working
with our specialist field staff, we are also able to undertake sampling
and inspection of concrete structures together with subsequent
laboratory testing.

Soil Rock Testing


Soil and rock samples can be obtained from the site subsurface by
several means. We test soil and rock properties according to national
and international standards (SBC, ASTM, BS, and AASHTO), and other
procedures. Physical, mechanical and hydraulical parameters are
checked for geological and geotechnical reports for construction and
spatial planning. We deliver description and classification of soils and
rocks to customer needs and/or requirements. Solutions an economical
design without incurring excessive tests and costs. Depending on
the project type, testing may range from simple soil classification to
complex strength and deformation testing.

destructive tests .
